Kathmandu Metropolitan City Chief Balendra (Balen) Shah has said that it is necessary to build a stadium for the upgrading of Nepali cricket and he is ready to take the initiative for this.
Balen, who watched the match between Nepal and India live in Sri Lanka, announced this through social media on Tuesday. He also said that if the government provides 100 plants of land in or around Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Kathmandu Metropolitan City will take the initiative in building a cricket stadium.
"When I went to Sri Lanka to watch cricket as a fan, the question of the Sri Lankan immigration staff was - why are so many Nepalis coming to Sri Lanka all of a sudden?" Balen wrote on Facebook. Indians were cricket supporters while the number of Nepalis was between 1500 to 2000.'
Mentioning that Nepali cricket fans have come to Sri Lanka from various countries, he said that based on the estimated calculation, the expenses of all the Nepalis who have reached there may be 300 million.
